Total eclipse of our hearts!! The Pre-K children were so psyched about the eclipsed! They watched the eclipse on the ABC weather app and then drew pictures of the phases of the eclipse! Stay tuned for more wackiness this week….
Kid’s Kitchen Week
Kid’s Kitchen Week was a huge hit with the children. They made everything from Dirt Cups to Banana Pudding. The Pre-K children designed recipe cards for each item they created… Toddlers sang songs about food… And Preschoolers learned about different equipment cooks use to make food. Butterfly, butterfly…Fly, fly away!
Today, we released the butterflies that the children hatched from caterpillars. Mr. Ted held his usual science classes on the life cycle of the butterfly. The children learned the stages from caterpillar to butterfly. The grand finale was the great release of all 25 butterflies. A special thank you to Mrs. Barbara, a long time supporter and grandmother of Jenkintown Day Nursery, for donating the butterflies.
